Highlights from Vendsyssel Festival 2025
Largest festival for classical music in Scandinavia
Vendsyssel Festival is Scandinavia’s largest classical music festival, and located in Vendsyssel, North Jutland. The festival has taken place every summer since 1971.
During 6 weeks in 2026, the festival will present approx. 50 concerts. The participating ensembles and soloists are internationally and nationally acclaimed musicians, who will perform music from the Renaissance, Baroque and up to completely new music.
Vendsyssel Festival has started a collaboration with the Danish cellist Andreas Brantelid, to arrange and program three of our concerts every year. Hereby Andreas has the opportunity to invite already well-known artists together with young and upcoming stars to the Festival. Also in 2026 this collaboration gives our audience a unique chance to experience new exciting talents in great musical experiences.
In 2026, the festival will last from Sunday 28th. of June until Sunday 16th. of August.
The concerts at Vendsyssel Festival take place in the region’s beautiful churches, manor houses, art museums and concert halls.
