Support Vendsyssel Festival
Vendsyssel Festival has existed since 1970 and is today Scandinavia’s largest festival for classical music.
Vendsyssel Festival, as the name suggests, covers the whole of Vendsyssel.

Approximately 60 concerts are arranged annually. This is done in collaboration between the Vendsyssel Festival Board and local organizers, who are mainly local parish councils. Most concerts are held in the region’s very beautiful and acoustically suitable churches. The concerts are held over approximately 6 weeks in the months of July and August. Vendsyssel Festival’s goal is to arrange concerts of very high artistic quality.

Why a Friends’ Association?
The purpose of the Friends’ Association is to spread increased awareness of Vendsyssel Festival, and to provide funds that can help support and ensure the continued existence of Vendsyssel Festival. Today, it is more important than ever that music lovers stand together for classical music and help each other increase the financial foundation of Vendsyssel Festival. The Friends’ Association will achieve this goal through membership fees, gifts and donations.

Benefits of Membership

  • notification by email or letter that the seasonal brochure can be picked up at the region’s tourist offices and viewed on the internet.
  • invitation to meet the artists at one of the board’s concerts after the concert.
  • invitation to the closing concert with subsequent refreshments and company with the musicians and singers who gave the closing concert.
  • At the annual meeting of the Vendsyssel Festival Friends, there is an obvious opportunity to come up with good ideas for Vendsyssel Festival’s future work.

The annual fee is currently DKK 150.00
Membership is personal.
